YOUTH WORK PRACTICE LEVEL 2 (ACCREDITED)

Develop the skills to support, assist or co-lead group sessions that encourage participation and learning.

  • Reflective Practice & Work Experience

Gain practical experience in youth work settings and learn to reflect on your actions to improve future practice.

Duration

  • 9-month course

This course develops the knowledge and practical skills required to work with young people in a youth work setting.
Learners build their understanding while applying their learning through real or simulated youth work practice.

How You’ll Learn

  • Structured learning with practical application

Learners develop their knowledge through guided study, workshops and real youth work experience.
The course combines theory with practical application, supporting learners to build confidence in real settings.

Units

  • 8 mandatory units + optional units

The course covers youth work theory, safeguarding, young people’s development, communication and group work.
Learners also explore areas such as behaviour management, reflective practice and planning youth work activities.

Progression

  • Progress into professional youth work

This course supports progression towards Level 3 Youth Work qualifications and JNC recognised pathways.
It provides a strong foundation for those looking to develop a career working with young people.
