BUSINESS ESSENTIALS LEVEL 3 APPRENTICESHIP

Build the skills that keep businesses moving and careers progressing with our Level 3 Business Essentials Apprenticeship – a practical, work-based programme designed for professionals whose roles involve a high degree of administrative tasks, including aspiring managers and those already working in team leader or supervisor roles.

Through practical learning and personalised support, learners develop the confidence, communication and commercial awareness needed to make a meaningful impact. Whether working in the public, private or charitable sector, they gain the skills to support effective operations, collaborate across teams and prepare for increased responsibility and future leadership opportunities.

KEY SKILLS

  • People Management Skills

Build people management skills, supported by our management and coaching electives.

  • Effective Communication Skills

Develop clear written and verbal communication for emails, reports, customer enquiries and internal updates.

  • Strong Organisation & Time Management

Learn to prioritise tasks, manage schedules and keep day-to-day office operations running smoothly.

  • Problem-Solving & Initiative

Identify issues early and take practical steps to resolve them, supporting colleagues and improving workflows.

  • Data & Record Management

Gain confidence working with business data, maintaining accurate records and using information to support decisions.

  • Business Finance Basics

Understand key financial processes such as budgets, invoices and tracking expenditure to support business operations.

  • Teamwork & Cross-Department Support

Work effectively with colleagues across teams, contributing to shared goals and supporting wider business activities.

Duration

  • 13-month programme

Designed to provide a structured yet flexible learning journey, allowing learners to build practical skills while working across teams and business functions.

The Apprenticeship Journey

  • A clear, step-by-step view of the learner journey

A visual overview of the full apprenticeship journey, from onboarding through to end-point assessment - including key milestones, learning activities Momentous Learning Academy and other support.

Assessment

  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)

The assessment includes a knowledge test, portfolio-based interview and project presentation.
Learners are supported by tutors throughout to ensure confidence and successful completion.

Functional skills

  • English and Maths Requirements

Support is provided to achieve Level 2 where required, typically completed early in the programme.
This helps strengthen essential workplace communication and numeracy skills.
